How the search engine works

General overview

Songvista is a meta-search engine for lyrics, translations, chords and tabs.
To understand the operation mode at best please have a look at the following drawing:


Simplified explanation:
1. Your request to Songvista
2. Request is forwarded to the interfaces of other websites, they look each in their own database
3. Results are fetched, summarized
4. and displayed to you

Now you can see where the desired lyrics can be found and view them directly.

Order of results

Songvista searches many different sources at the same time. The incoming results are sorted by the time they are returned. However websites which enforce registration to view texts are listed behind others if possible. These are indicated by a special sign containing a key.
